Supply Chain Manager - Global Distribution Hub Americas
 

What you will do

In this vital role, you will support the develop, maintain, and advance of Global Distribution Hub Americas (GDHA) enable global business capabilities with high degrees of value chain interdependencies across multiple functions, designed to achieve expected business performance outcomes globally.
 

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Build and manage the Global Distribution budget, ensuring alignment with financial targets and supply chain strategy.
  •  Lead monthly accruals processes, validating spend forecasts and ensuring accuracy of financial reporting.
  • Oversee all Global Distribution spend, identifying variances, risks, and optimization opportunities.
  • Manage end-to-end invoice review and approval for logistics and distribution services, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing.
  • Maintain strong partnership with Finance and Global Logistics teams to ensure transparency and governance of distribution-related financials.
  • Ensures all work is completed with minimal disruption and in compliance with all cGMP guidelines and Amgen procedures.
  • Identify and oversee implementation of new and improved business and compliance systems and tools.
  • Partner with key internal customer groups and/or external suppliers to ensure successful operations and performance targets are achieved.
  • Participate on global functional teams to coordinate and improve the transportation and Logistics of material movement and storage across the Amgen Supply Chain.
  • Organize and communicate on a regular basis the total demand and supply requirements impact on freight budget to senior management.
  • Gather, evaluate global demand requirements.
  • Provide business case scenarios that demonstrate the impact of current or proposed operations plans.

Basic Qualifications:
 

Doctorate degree
 

Or
 

Master’s degree and 2 years of Supply Chain Operations and/or Financial Support/Analysis experience
 

Or
 

Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of Supply Chain Operations and/or Financial Support/Analysis experience
 

Or
 

Associate’s degree and 8 years of Supply Chain Operations and/or Financial Support/Analysis experience
 

Or
 

High school diploma / GED and 10 years of Supply Chain Operations and/or Financial Support/Analysis experience
 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects focused on efficiency, process development, and change management.
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis, scenario evaluations, and risk assessments to drive operational improvements
  • Experience in budget planning, monitoring, and supporting financial decision-making to enable efficient and sustainable solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Smartsheet, Power BI, EDM Quality, and SAP systems.
  • Experience supporting internal and external audits, ensuring documentation and processes meet regulatory expectations.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with demonstrated proficiency in both English and Spanish.
