Inbound Logistics Coordinator

This role is responsible for coordinating inbound logistics operations in Türkiye. Reporting into Distribution & Logistics this role needs to manage inbound logistics, Customs, and related regulations. Main KPIs for this role are maintaining service levels, efficient Customs clearance, compliance and managing 3PL management/relationships.

This role is responsible for building strong working relationships with DC and trade compliance teams and driving a continuous improvement agenda.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize, monitor, direct and control processes and systems for inbound logistics, with emphasis on Customs clearance processes and Tareks inspections
  • Monitoring & Requesting payments, including third parties (all shipment modes)
  • Monitoring and following up on shipping documentation checks and certificates of origin, FTA validation
  • Monitoring: Pre-Alerts, PSA, Arrival Notices, Inspection and Tareks file, ERF, sample shipments
  • General co-ordination & support on Import Files
  • Coordinating domestic transport to DC
  • Updating reports – Rate report, DSRs, etc.
  • Follow-up and checking on freight invoices, surrender BL, damage reports
  • OKSB renewal for LS Türkiye
  • Export Invoice entry
  • Drive continual measurement of vendors’ service standards and productivity levels to ensure that vendors are meeting agreed targets.
  • Coordinate with other departments or teams to facilitate cross-functional collaboration and synergy.
  • Serve as a point of contact for escalated issues, resolving conflicts, and making decisions as needed.
  • Any other tasks assigned by line manager

About the Job

  • Reports to Distribution & Logistics. The role requires extensive collaboration, reporting, and engagement with local and regional stakeholders, both internal and external.

  • Hybrid office environment. Position will require domestic travel to DC, 3PLs. May require travel within Türkiye.

  • Physical activities: DC visits, use of computer.

  • Role requires strong understanding of Customs procedures and processes in Türkiye, including Tareks processes.

About You

  • University degree preferred

  • Minimum 5 years work experience in distribution and logistics
  • Knowledge of Customs procedures and processes
  • Strong analytical capability, with “business case”, data- driven approach to decision making
  • In depth knowledge of key distribution and logistics processes with up-to-date knowledge of technology and current best practices.
  • Good understanding of logistics and trade compliance within Türkiye.
  • Able to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and matrix reporting organization with minimum supervision
  • An excellent communicator (English and local languages) and a team player who collaborates and builds relationships effectively across various functions/teams.
  • Takes initiative to develop and implement solutions.
  • Ability to influence across organizational boundaries.
  • Detail oriented. Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Database applications, Microsoft Excel, MS Office applications.

  • Leadership Abilities: Monitors and evaluates 3PL performance, providing regular feedback.
