The Position

The Inter Company Supply Chain (ICSC) is an essential component of the diagnostics value chain, connecting sales affiliates, logistics hubs, business areas, finance, and the global supply chain. ICSC ensures the compliant execution of a wide range of processes, guaranteeing the high-quality delivery of both physical and digital diagnostic products through well-established supply channels.

As a Supply Chain Functional Specialist , you will be responsible to ensure seamless intercompany supply chain processes and compliance with regulatory requirements within a dynamic and highly regulated global environment. You will play a critical role in managing and supporting various processes related to order fulfillment, compliance, logistics, and customer interactions within a global supply chain environment. This role demands a high level of technical proficiency, problem-solving skills, and the ability to navigate complex challenges, ensuring operational excellence across all aspects of the supply chain. It involves working extensively with SAP S/4HANA, Fiori Apps, and several integrated modules.

The Opportunity

 We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Supply Chain Functional Specialist  to join our Team to support the global transformation program, Project ASPIRE - which aims to deploy S/4 HANA across the Roche ecosystem. In this critical role, you will have a dual role by performing daily operational supply chain tasks and later support the project by representing a central Trading Entity that is already live on our new SAP S/4HANA system.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Order Management and Monitoring: Monitor and execute transactions in SAP S/4HANA and Fiori Apps related to global order management processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

  • Customer and Supplier Support: Act as the single point of contact (SPOC) for third- and intercompany-customers and suppliers worldwide. Collaborate with internal  stakeholders to swiftly resolve complex  inquiries and ensure business continuity.

  • Exception Handling and Compliance: Provide robust exception handling, offering guidance to customers for manual, country-specific steps required for import and customs clearance. Ensure global compliance with import/export regulations, trade management guidelines while aligning with company policies  and legal standards.

  • Regulatory Compliance and Documentation: Ensure daily processes comply with regulatory requirements and support audit-readiness through detailed record management. Maintain and update end-to-end process documentation, including working instructions and internal procedures.

  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Generate and analyze regular SAP GUI and and Fiori reports to provide actionable insights for internal stakeholders, external vendors, and customers..

  • Process Execution & Validation: Perform hands-on execution and validation of core inter-company and dropshipment process scenarios from the perspective of the live Trading Entity. This includes; Sales Order (SD); Purchase Requisition (PR)  & Purchase Order (PO/MM); Vendor Invoice Posting and verification (VIM); Inbound Delivery processing (MM) & Outbound Delivery processing (SD); SD Billing and inter-company billing (SD) and Idoc Monitoring / Idoc processing. 

Who You Are

You are an analytical and strategic thinker with strong collaboration and technical skills ready to tackle complex supply chain challenges:

  • Basic education in a commercial or technical sector with additional studies in supply chain management or import/export or related fields.

  • Proven experience in  order management processes, logistics, and supply chain operations. Experience in a Life Sciences company (ie.: Pharmaceuticals, Diagnostics, Medical Devices) is a plus.

  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements and processes.

  • Accuracy and attention to detail, especially when managing time-sensitive financial bookings.

  • Experience with and knowledge of SAP SD & MM as well as analysis tools (e.g., Excel, gSheets, etc.).

  • Effective communication skills to handle customer and supplier interactions.

  • Fluency in both German and English, complemented by excellent organizational, multitasking, and teamwork abilities, and an open-minded approach to new methods.
