The Supply Chain Business Analyst partners with operations and supply chain leadership to deliver actionable insights, process improvements, and data-driven decision support across manufacturing, logistics, project management, operations excellence, and business systems.
This role plays a key part in driving operational efficiency, cost optimization, and digital transformation within a capital equipment manufacturing environment.
Your responsibilities
1. Supply Chain & Operations Analytics
- Collect, analyze, and interpret supply chain, logistics, and manufacturing data to identify performance trends and improvement opportunities.
- Develop and maintain KPI dashboards and reports for leadership, including metrics such as on-time delivery, supplier performance, lead time, inventory turns, and manufacturing efficiency.
- Support root cause analysis for operational bottlenecks, supplier delays, and logistics issues.
2. Manufacturing & Logistics Support
- Partner with manufacturing and logistics teams to evaluate throughput, material flow, and capacity utilization.
- Analyze and optimize logistics networks, warehouse layouts, and transportation routes to improve cost and delivery performance.
- Support initiatives that reduce lead time, improve quality, and increase operational reliability across global supply chain operations.
3. Operations Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate with Operations Excellence teams to identify and quantify process improvement opportunities.
- Support Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen initiatives with data analysis, metrics tracking, and benefit validation.
- Develop and maintain models for performance benchmarking, cost reduction, and operational efficiency.
- Report and communicate the measurable results of improvement projects to leadership.
4. Supply Chain Project Management Support
- Support supply chain and operations transformation projects with business analysis, data modeling, and project tracking.
- Maintain project dashboards, monitor milestones, and track benefits realization across multiple workstreams.
- Collaborate with project managers, procurement, and operations teams to ensure alignment and progress toward strategic goals.
5. Business Systems & Digital Enablement
- Serve as a liaison between supply chain users and IT to improve ERP, MRP, and business intelligence system functionality.
- Develop reporting tools and automation to enhance data visibility and workflow efficiency.
- Support data governance, system integration, and continuous improvement of digital platforms.
- Train and assist users in leveraging analytics tools for operational decision-making.
What you bring
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain, operations, or business analysis within a manufacturing or capital equipment environment.
- Proven experience supporting cross-functional operations including logistics, procurement, manufacturing, and project management.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with advanced Excel and Power BI proficiency.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Infor, or similar).
- Understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes and manufacturing operations.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a matrixed, global organization.
