Airbus US Manufacturing Facility is looking for A Supplier Contract Manager to join our Team based in Mobile, AL.
Responsible for managing and optimizing the entire lifecycle of supplier contracts to support the organization’s strategic and operational goals. This role involves drafting, negotiating, and managing supplier agreements while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Works closely with internal teams and external suppliers to secure favorable terms, mitigate risks, and foster long-term partnerships. Drives continuous improvement initiatives, develops best practices, and identifies opportunities to enhance procurement processes. This role requires exceptional negotiation skills, strategic thinking, and a strong ability to collaborate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Nearby on ‘Airbus Way’ you will find the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility for commercial aircraft. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. The facility, which strengthens the U.S. aerospace industry, is part of Airbus’ strategy to enhance its global competitiveness by meeting the growing needs of its customers in the United States and beyond.

Your challenges:
Supplier Contract Lifecycle Management (30%)
Lead the end-to-end contract lifecycle with key suppliers, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and finalizing agreements in alignment with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Ensure contracts are structured to optimize cost savings, quality, and delivery performance while mitigating risks.
Conduct regular contract audits and evaluations to identify opportunities for renegotiation or improvement.
Establish and maintain a database of contracts to enable efficient tracking, reporting, and renewal processes.
Supplier Performance Monitoring (25%)
Develop and implement performance metrics to assess supplier compliance with contractual terms, including service levels, quality standards, and delivery timelines.
Facilitate regular reviews with suppliers to address performance gaps and establish corrective action plans when necessary.
Foster long-term partnerships by aligning supplier performance with organizational goals and business priorities.
Internal Stakeholder Collaboration (15%)
Partner with procurement, legal, and finance teams to ensure contracts align with overall business strategies.
Act as a central point of contact for resolving contract-related issues, providing insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
Proactively engage with internal teams to forecast procurement needs and ensure contract readiness
Additional Responsibilities (30%)
Risk Management
Analyze contracts to identify and mitigate potential risks related to supplier dependencies, market fluctuations, and compliance requirements.
Implement risk mitigation strategies, such as diversification of supplier portfolios or contingency planning.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and industry best practices to ensure all contracts remain compliant.
Process Optimization and Continuous Improvement
Identify inefficiencies in the current contract management processes and recommend innovative solutions to enhance productivity and accuracy.
Develop templates, guidelines, and best practices to streamline the creation and management of supplier contracts.
Stay informed about emerging tools and technologies to improve contract management workflows.
Training and Knowledge Sharing
Provide training to internal teams on contract management principles, supplier engagement strategies, and compliance requirements.
Share insights from supplier interactions to inform broader organizational strategies and decision-making.
Your boarding pass:
University degree in business administration, law, supply chain management, or a related field.
Must be able to interface with individuals at all levels of the organization both verbally and in writing.
Proven experience of 5+ years in contract management, procurement, or supplier negotiation.
In-depth knowledge of contract law, risk analysis, and supply chain management.
Preferred:
Hands on knowledge of G-suite and SAP
