Supplier Risk Management & Monitoring Manager - FTC

The Role:

Reporting into the Head of Third-Party Risk & Oversight, you will be responsible for coordinating activities for 3rd Parties, keeping track of upcoming events and ensure all parties required are aware of upcoming deadlines/ events/ meetings/schedules required. Key interfaces will include the wider 3rd Party Supplier Management Oversight Team, teams within Investment Operations as well as Third Party Suppliers.

Key Responsibilities for this role:

  • Responsible for third party due diligence - Facilitation and writing up of reports and for certain categories of supplier either thematic onsite visits or an entity visit
  • Receive either biannually or annually a SOC report from supplier. Conduct reviews of SOC reports and liaise with business and third parties for queries. Documentation of SOC reviews across Top 50 suppliers
  • Review and pass to SMEs to review and provide input.  
  • Once received collate queries, feedback for follow up on concerns raised.  Backwards and forwards to resolve or get further information.  Facilitation
  • Provide guidance and support to SME teams on alignment to supplier risk handbook and op risk framework including definition of KRIs, KPIs and other key metrics as appropriate.
  • Co-ordinate creation of exit plans by seeking input from SMEs, review and sign-off.   
  • Act as a central facilitation point for inbound and outbound requests for information on BCP plans etc. IT reviews, leveraging the inputs of SME Oversight teams where required. 
  • Assurance driven activities (AAF) and Audits
  • Walk through of process – coordinating with all business areas that own key controls
  • Evidence Production: Provide evidence of sample dates & production activities
  • Queries from auditors – supporting SME teams and own due diligences and SOCs
  • Policy, framework attestation for suppliers, EFMs & IGOs:
  • Conduct annual attestation against group policy to produce how compliant MGG

Key Skills, Competencies & Experience:    

Technical skills;

  • Experience of leading due diligence with knowledge of asset management to be able to challenge suppliers and writing due diligence reports 
  • Experience of SOC report reviews with insight-based outcomes
  • Third party risk management experience (outside of BAU e.g. designing KRIs and quantifiable measures)
  • Through understanding of the firm's risk framework for operational risk, third party risk and what good risk management looks like
  • Experience of facing off to senior leadership providing proactive challenge to improve risk culture

Non-technical skills;

  • Close attention to detail
  • Proactive attitude towards risk management with proven skills to demonstrate forward looking risk mitigation (e.g. implementation of leading risk indicators)
  • Resilient under fast paced, high pressure scenarios
  • Hands-on with delivery of outcomes
  • Able to build strong relationships and credibility with stakeholders outside of own team

Experience;

  • Significant experience in Financial Services
  • Preferable experience in 3rd Party Risk Oversight/Vendor Management
  • Experience in first line risk management
