As a Supplier Quality Engineering Manager, you will take ownership for quality and continuous improvement across a range of suppliers. You will build relationships with internal teams and suppliers to ensure successful delivery. You will ensure supplier quality to global standards and lead continuous improvement where there are performance issues.
To drive quality for assigned suppliers, including quality plan implementation. Select suppliers through qualification processes. Own supplier results, drive improvements utilizing supplier scorecards. Own supplier audits, ensuring compliance, and driving improvement plans where needed. Develops notions on midterm developments for own department and elaborates suggestions for strategic plan of the larger unit (be it function or business unit).
As a Supplier Quality Engineering Manager you will be responsible for:
Leading and inspire a team of Supplier Quality Engineers (SQEs), driving a culture of ownership and collaboration and coaching and mentoring the team
Ensuring the role of single point of contact for the BH Site (Suzhou) to represent supplier quality in internal leadership meetings with full engagement/accountability in case of escalations
Regular operating rhythm with SQEs to review key supplier quality initiatives, NCR/RCA; qualifications, supplier surveillance.
Driving cultural transformation across the team and extend to external suppliers.
Conducting quarterly supplier quality performance reviews through their Scorecard
Collaborating closely with Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Product Quality to guarantee flawless execution across the supply chain
Playing a key role in supplier business reviews, shaping decisions that impact execution, compliance, and customer satisfaction
Promoting the deployment of quality processes, tools, and training across suppliers and internal teams
Tracking and monitor supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performances and assisting key suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence.
Understanding broader concepts, development of approaches and methods, and knowledge management. Solutions integrate multi-functional impact and perspective.

To be successful in this role you will:
Engineering Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
Minimum of 10 additional years of experience in Quality/Supplier Quality Engineering/Operations.
Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
Have a strong knowledge, adequate training and certification in ISO 9001 standard, quality tools.
Be fluent in English & able to travel abroad as needed (up to 20-30%).
Have experience in people leadership positions in a regional or global role.
