Supplier Program Manager

We have a fantastic opportunity in this newly created position for an end-to-end Supplier Program Manager for key AvA customer and supplier specific programs working in Global Project Management.

You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and cost-effective scaling and management of Avnet LogOn projects.

This role will initially be focused on Avnet Abacus's fastest growing supplier within some of our fastest growing Supply Chain Customers, scaling to over $200M of business in the next 3 years.

The team invest in their people, and their management style is all about giving you the autonomy and trust to make decisions on your own judgement and fully support you on your journey through the business.

The Ideal Person:

What you will be doing:

  • Working with our key suppliers to meet our customer demands in the most cost-effective mode
  • Developing the relationships with the suppliers to meet our agreed commercial frameworks around service, cost, price management, lead-time and production flexibility to existing and new customers.
  • Engage planning at our suppliers and purchasing within Avnet to meet the optimal inbound cost, inventory and working capital goals.
  • Optimise the logistics flow from the supplier into Avnet - inbound logistics, cost trend analysis, routing management with Avnet designated Freight forwarders.
  • Coordinating the Avnet Import and Logistics team to ensure an efficient process and applying the needs of the business when looking at procedural flows.
  • Optimising our outbound costs to meet the customer demands and challenges and maintaining a cost-effective solution. 

What we are looking for:

  • Supply chain or program management experience in a B2B environment.
  • Extensive experience in logistics management flows and import flows and production demand.
  • Proven record of creating process flows that can deliver efficiency, cost, and working capital improvements.
  • Experience of working in a matrixed organisation where the ability to influence key stakeholders is essential.
  • Highly methodical and process orientated individual.
