Job Summary: About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and is located at the Ramstein Arts and Crafts Center, Ramstein AB, Germany. This position may offer logistical support. Responsible for supervising and overseeing the Framing and Graphics programs. Develops, organizes, and implements with approval an annual program and instructional calendar for all programs within Arts & Crafts to include the Woodshop and Auto Hobby.

Major Duties:

  • Responsible for supervising and overseeing the Framing and Graphics programs. Develops, organizes, and implements with approval an annual program and instructional calendar for all programs within Arts & Crafts to include the Woodshop and Auto Hobby. Assumes the duties of the manager in his/her absence. Prepares and coordinates publicity and promotional measures to encourage maximum participation. Schedules and organizes internal/external competitions, shows and exhibitions. Assists in the supervision of activities/events and monitors customers utilizing programs. Completes after actions reports, obtaining required data/information to evaluate programs. Assists with preparation, obtaining materials needed and setup for classes/events. Researches and solicits instructors as volunteers and/or contractors to teach programmed classes. Trains employees in techniques and practices of the center to ensure procedures follow applicable guidelines, i.e., cash handling, customer service, and safety. Assists the director with preparation and submission of operating budget requirements for NAF and APF budgets. Performs administrative duties, maintains reference and technical files in accordance with prescribed functional filing system. Maintains/updates Facebook and other related duties pertaining to the operation and administration of the arts and crafts program. Performs on-going customer relations and interaction. Informs employees and participants of rules and policies regarding programs and/or facilities. Provides input necessary to plan and initiate improvement in overall facility. Assists with inventories, purchasing resale stock, materials and other items as needed. May operate as a cashier when needed. May hold a NAF and APF purchase card. Knowledge of the theories and techniques of a wide range of art forms to plan and carry out visual arts and crafts programs. Must have supervisory experience. Knowledge of business management principles and concepts of revenue generating activity. Skill in developing recreation/leisure activities for a diverse community. Ability to apply procedures, requirements, regulations and policies related to specialized expertise in a skills development or related operation. Ability to effectively manage diverse group of employees. Must be able to communicate effectively to team members and management both orally and in writing. May work uncommon work schedule including weekends. Knowledge of safety and environmental work practices.
