Job Summary: You will serve as a Supervisory Production Controller in the Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC), Production Department (900), Production Control Division (960), Budget/Material Support Branch (964), located at Naval Station Norfolk of MID ATLANTIC REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CTR.
Major Duties:
Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience exercising supervision or leadership over a team of production controllers or related personnel. This includes planning and assigning work, managing priorities, evaluating performance, and identifying training needs. Experience serving as a senior technical authority on the overhaul and repair of naval vessels, including managing the entire lifecycle of a ship's availability from work induction and planning to financial closeout. Experience managing and administering the funding for complex ship repair projects, including authorizing work, reviewing expenditures, and justifying funding requests to customers. Experience representing an organization in high-level meetings and conferences (e.g., Work Definition Conferences) to negotiate work packages, resolve funding issues, and make commitments on behalf of the department. Experience developing long-range plans, forecasting resources, and implementing corrective actions to prevent production delays across multiple, complex ship overhaul projects.
