SUPERVISORY PLANS AND OPERATIONS SPECIALIST

Job Summary: You will serve as a Supervisory Plans and Operations Specialist in the G-1 Plans & Operations Office of U. S. Marine Corps Forces Pacific.

Major Duties:

  • You will serve in the Plans and Operations Branch, G-1 Division, on the staff of Commander, U. S. Marine Corps Forces, Pacific, Camp H. M. Smith, HI>
  • You will assist the Branch Head, G-1 Plans and Operations Branch and be the princi0pal source of expertise and continuity for all matter related to origination, command relationships, joint and service doctrine, DOD.
  • You will serve as the Deputy Branch Head, G-1 Plans and Operations Branch and act as the primary assistant.
  • You will advise and assist the Assistant Chief of Staff G-1.
  • You will conduct detailed reviews and coordination of operational and contingency response matters involving COMMARFORPAC Forces.
  • You will review operations plans and concept plans.
  • You will be responsible for reviewing and updating the personnel readiness assessment of war plans.
  • You will prepare the personnel readiness portion of the Joint Monthly Readiness Review (JMRR) for evaluation by the Joint Chiefs of Staff ( JCS).
  • You will be responsible for providing qualified individual augments to support contingency operations, exercises, training and testing throughout the world in direct support of the Combatant Commander, U.S. Pacific Command.
  • You will recommend to service headquarter and adjacent commands new approaches or alternatives for the solution of anticipate4d problems that are likely to occur within G-1 Division plans and operations throughout the Pacific Theater.

Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Coordinating operational and concept of plans of the Combatant Commander, U. S. Pacific Command; Assessing the readiness of COMMARFORPAC forces assigned to various supporting operational plans; Reviewing and updating the personnel readiness assessment war plans and Providing qualified individual arguments to support contingency operations, exercises, training and testing throughout the world in direct support of the Combatant Commander, U. S.
