SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

Salary Range: $108592 - $141171 Per Year

Job Summary: You will serve as a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.

Major Duties:

  • You will define areas of responsibility and authority; provide logistics policy guidance and overall logistics program direction.
  • You will evaluate logistic functions, team and program progress, maintain workload, milestones, as well as metrics and other statistics.
  • You will supervise and manage teams at the offsite locations who are directly responsible for providing material support measured by agreed upon metrics.
  • You will perform a full range of duties as a first level supervisor including evaluating performance of subordinates and assigning and reviewing with employees their annual performance rating.

Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Plans, organizes, coordinates, and directs all logistics and supply support functions for nuclear reactor training activities, as well as for Shipyard ships and submarines. 2) Directs team members, defines their areas of responsibility, provides logistics policy guidance, and establishes and maintains all staff work assigned to the division. 3) Evaluates the effectiveness of logistics functions, team performance, and program progress by tracking metrics, workload, and milestones. 4) Reviews, develops, and implements automation programs and new work methods to enhance efficiencies and eliminate barriers to production. 5) Manages and adapts to custom information systems used for material ordering and technical information exchange, ensuring critical interfaces remain functional. 6) Acts as the representative for the Nuclear Reactors Program in meetings and conferences, negotiating solutions and policies with other organizations and commands. 7) Manages the day-to-day administration of the branch, which includes assigning tasks, preparing schedules, controlling workload, developing employee Individual Development Plans (IDPs), and ensuring compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) policies.
