Major Duties:

  • You will provide technical leadership and expertise to the Operations branch, ensuring the effective and efficient operation of IT systems and networks.
  • You will develop and implement strategic plans, policies and procedures to align with organizational goals and objectives.
  • You will collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to identify and prioritize IT needs and requirements.
  • You will manage budgets, resources, and personnel to ensure optimal user of IT assets and resources.
  • You will ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures and standards, as well as relevant law and regulations.
  • You will represent the IT branch in department-wide meetings and workgroups, providing technical expertise and guidance.
  • You will lead teams on multiple projects, ensuring effective communication, coordination, and collaboration among team members.
  • You will analyze complex issues and determine the best course of action, providing technical expertise and guidance to IT staff and stakeholders.
  • You will build coalitions within the Division, as well as across the Warfare Center and NAVSEA Enterprise, to support IT operations and achieve organizational goals and objectives.

Qualifications: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12) dealing with the following: evaluating network infrastructure, service delivery, and providing technical input to service providers; technical expertise and leadership in one or more of the following IT areas: Windows Domain, Linux administration, Cloud, networking infrastructure, WAN connections, and remote site VPNs; shared services and cloud based architectures, high performance computing and big data analytics platforms.
