Job Summary: You will serve as a SUPERVISORY INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER/SCIENTIST in the SEA RANGE SYSTEMS DIVISION, POINT MUGU SEA RANGE DEPARTMENT of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV POINT MUGU. This Vacancy Considers the Following Disciplines: GENERAL ENGINEER (0801) PHYSICIST (1310) COMPUTER ENGINEER (1550)

Major Duties:

  • You will work as the Division Head for the Point Mugu Sea Range Systems Division in support of high priority, tasks and initiatives, and serve as the first line supervisor for the EB2500M organization.
  • You will regularly provide strategic and technical recommendations and guidance to the Division’s branches, support contractors, and Department leadership.
  • You will provide leadership expertise in research, development, acquisition, and test and evaluation, to specifically include systems engineering, project management, and continuous process improvement.
  • You will provide organizational leadership in range operations, instrumentation systems, electronic warfare systems, and data systems used throughout Department of War Test Ranges.
  • You will manage business processes, including metrics, financial, training, awards, personnel, security, and cybersecurity.
  • You will establish long-term task priorities, determines work procedures and methods, and guide employees and/or supervisors’ work.

Qualifications: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13/14 grade level or NM-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing organizational leadership at a test range or similar technical organization, to include workforce performance management, hiring and retention and employee development strategies; 2) Demonstrating ability in managing technical projects and budgets valued greater than $1mil; 3) Demonstrating organizational leadership skills including strategic thinking, innovative problem solving, and customer service.
