Major Duties:

  • You will serve as the Sea-Launched Cruise Missile, Nuclear-Armed (SLCM-N) Department Head at PMOSSP Shipboard Systems Office, Pittsfield, MA.
  • You will oversee technical, programmatic, and personnel in the SPS SLCM-N Department.
  • You will exercise program and technical management over current programs involving systems development, production, test, evaluation, maintenance, and logistic contractual effort at contractors' sites.
  • You will direct the implementation of the entire body of technical directives relating to contractor and Navy organizations for which SSP and PMOSSP Shipboard Systems maintain control.
  • You will schedule, plan, coordinate and direct work performed by civilian technical (engineering, logisticians, and specialists) and military employees (if applicable) within the department.
  • You will establish goals and objectives consistent with those of PMOSSP Shipboard Systems and SSP Headquarters and assures the quality and efficiency of department efforts and contributions.
  • You will effectively plan, manage, and direct complex engineering programs and the efforts of a multifunctional professional team composed of engineers, logisticians, and other technical specialists.
  • You will plan, coordinate, control and report allocation and utilization of department resources.

Qualifications: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-13) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: As a professional engineer, leading program planning, requirements analysis, and test and evaluation activities for complex engineering systems through technical oversight and program management to ensure compliance with mission, cost, schedule, and performance objectives.
