Salary Range: $125776 - $170736 Per Year

Major Duties:

  • Serves as a recognized technical authority with responsibility for developing, designing, implementing and maintaining agency financial management systems and business processes.
  • Assesses and provides strategic direction regarding the development of financial management policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates with multiple levels of management in the modification of existing and/or new financial management systems and the management of financial programs.
  • Develops specifications and requirements for the integration of financial management systems and solutions to potential interface challenges.
  • Plans and conducts expert analysis of current/projected resource factors to determine the overall effectiveness of the agency in achieving planned financial management goals and objectives.

Qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-13) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience as a technical advisor on the planning, implementation, evaluation and/or maintenance of automated finance or accounting systems; researching and interpreting financial management regulations, principles, policies and procedures as they relate to automated financial systems processing and finance operations; planning and coordinating projects pertaining to financial management systems. Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-13 or higher grade in Federal Service. ** To verify you meet the time-in-grade requirement, please provide a copy of a recent SF-50 that shows you have completed at least 52 weeks at the next lower grade level. Examples of qualifying SF-50s include: Within-Grade Increase (WGI) Promotion Any SF-50, if its effective date allows a specialist to calculate 52 weeks of service. (The effective date is in the upper-right corner of the SF-50)** You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement. The Security Designation will vary and dependent upon position and may require a secret clearance or higher. Employment in this position requires a background investigation which may delay starting date.
