Job Summary: About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) Regular Full-Time category position located at the Resources Office, RAF Alconbury, United Kingdom. It offers 40 guaranteed hours per week, as well as a plethora of benefits and entitlements (medical, dental, life insurance, retirement, 401(k), and annual/sick leave)

Major Duties:

  • Supervises daily operations for the NAF Accounting office, Central Cashier, NAF Contracting, and Value Added Tax (VAT) office. Provides quality assurance, oversight, financial and budget analysis, and evaluation of programs for NAF Activities within the 423d Force Support Squadron (FSS). Analyzes budgetary and financial statements and related documents. Performs trend analysis and assesses financial performance with respect to AF standards headquarters goals and budgets. Based on performance analysis, recommends policy changes by innovative applications of financial management practices. Provides technical financial advice to Wing, Group, and Squadron commanders, deputy director, flight chiefs, and managers to include making recommendations concerning financial policies, standards, goals, and "Get Well" plans. Participates in decision making sessions and advises program managers on regulatory requirements, financial policies, and program improvements. Monitors acid test ratio and cash availability to sustain an established minimum acid test ratio advising Resource Manager if cash is insufficient to cover normal operations and requirements as budgeted. Tracks capital requirement expenditures and fund equity. Arranges and attends NAF Council meetings and produces financial report packets which include income and expense budgets, capital requirements budgets, cash flow analysis and cash availability, rolling four quarter reports and other miscellaneous data as required. Analyzes NAF Budgets and provides feedback to management on proposed budgets. Recommends necessary changes to budgets to meet intended goals. Compares budget execution to planned objectives and makes recommendations as required. Provides training to NAF ac Aids in forming and implementing financial policies; interprets Air Force policies and recommends financial actions to be taken. Tracks Special Morale and Welfare (SM&W) budget, advises and trains requestors regarding appropriate expenditures, gathers data, and produces SM&W reports. Processes all NAF insurance claims to include loss of NAF property coordinating applicable investigation from initiation through settlement. Maintains and controls the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) Fund and Lodging Fund Life of the Fund Files. Serves as FSS Property Custodian. Maintains accountability over FSS communications network equipment. Serves as backup Vehicle Control Officer (VCO) for the FSS. Performs other related duties as assigned.
