Job Summary: You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the Mechanical/Electrical Work Center (Code 962.2), I-Level Planning Branch (Code 962), Production Control Division (Code 960), Production Department (Code 900), Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) of MID ATLANTIC REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CTR.

Major Duties:

  • You will exercise blueprint reading and ability to use the AIM4RMC computer programs.
  • You will ensure all work is planned 30 days prior to start of ship availabilities.
  • You will review all work packages assembled for accuracy in accordance with (IAW) Joint Fleet Maintenance -Manual (JFMM) 4790.3 and other technical documents.

Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience demonstrating knowledge of the propulsion/mechanical features involving Navy ships, performing planning based on established designs, and developing plans for repair. Experience leading, mentoring, and managing teams of engineering technicians or specialists. Experience developing complete plans for repair based on drawings, technical manuals or other documented reports. Experience utilizing strong written and verbal communication skills with work packages, time allotments and government cost estimates. Experience independently researching and planning propulsion and mechanics based on design criteria. Experience visiting job sites to solve repair-replaced problems.
