Job Summary: This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serves as a Supervisory Budget Analyst for the Joint Activities located at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Only resumes up to a total of two pages will be accepted.

Major Duties:

  • Monitor the budget execution processes for the approved annual funding programs to assure appropriation funds are properly allocated.
  • Gather data, prepares slides and briefs program and budget information to the Working Program Budget Advisory Committee (WPBAC).
  • Serve as principal advisor to the Resource Management Budget Officer, on issues relating to Program Objectives Memorandum (POM), President Budget (PB) Submission and program execution.
  • Provide advice and assistance to Program Managers in the development of budget estimate requests (BES and ABES) and related supporting documentation.
  • Maintain the administration of the budget civilian personnel within the Analysis Branch serving as the first line supervisor.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes monitoring the budget execution processes; developing trend analysis of key financial management indicators; providing advice and assistance to program managers; writing procedures and guidance for use by program managers, and other staff members; and preparing cost and performance measurement reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
