What you get to do:
You will enthusiastically represent the organization by displaying a positive attitude and a high level of energy and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job. This role is responsible for planning, teaching, and evaluating the implementation of Education and Camp curriculum and program schedule while creating and maintaining a safe environment. Additionally, you will:
- Ensure a safe environment for all team members, guests, and animals
- Provide exceptional, professional guest service in a team environment
- Ensure compliance to all state/federal regulations, park policies, and department procedures
- Lead, supervise and monitor the performance, day-to-day operations and training of the education teams for Exclusive Tours, General Education, Summer Camps, and Training Support Teams, as well as their respective leadership teams
- Assist with, write, and develop program curriculums, schedules, lesson plans, and scripts for educational experiences including but not limited to activities, classes, lessons, sessions and tours
- Communicate and coordinate with other departments and leaders regarding education function/activities that may impact or require their assistance
- Monitor, track, and manage inventory supplies, labor usage, and operating expenses for the education teams
- Monitor and manage inventory supplies of the In-Park Quick Queue Kiosks and ensure daily start-up procedures are achieved
- Monitor and manage product inventory on a daily basis, communicate sales to departments as necessary
- Ensure staffing reports are up to date and efficiently communicated to necessary stakeholders
- Ensure training is being properly documented and tracked
- Lead, facilitate, and teach classes, ensuring SEA standards are being met
- Complete ambassador in-park auditing for safety, guest service, and ensuring SOP compliance
- Participate in the Guest Arrival Duty Manager program. · Communicate professionally and effectively with Ambassadors, Vendors and our Guests
- Report to leadership regarding the status of projects and completed assignments
- Perform other duties as assigned
What it takes to succeed:
- High school diploma or equivalent, College Preferred
- Strong leadership skills including communication skills, positive attitude, strong organization skills, and independent thinking and problem solving
- Flexible and willing to work early mornings, days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Able to operate independently from leadership
- Comfortable with sales register systems, digital cameras, video recorders, computers, and computer programs including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
- Able to complete provided CPR/AED training/certification
- Able to climb stairs/ladders
- Able to work in all weather conditions and temperature extremes
- Able to bend, sit, stand, squat, stoop, walk, kneel, reach with hands and arms at shoulder level or below, climb and reach with hands and arms above shoulder level
- Stand, walk, and/or sit for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to positively interact with guests, co-workers, and vendors of all ages, different ethnic/cultural backgrounds and/or language, and individuals with special needs
- Comfortable speaking in front of large groups of guests and ambassadors
- Able to remain calm and professional during challenging situations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Skilled in organization and planning
- Possession of a valid state driver's license preferred
- 1 year Theme Park leadership preferred
