Position Summary 

The Work Management Supervisor is responsible for the oversight and direction of Work Management employees dispersed geographically throughout Delivery Operations. This leadership role is expected to develop efficiency gains through process standardization and consistency, oversight of workload, cross training, sharing resources as well as implementing new technology. This position will create and implement work management plans that minimize employee resistance and maximize employee engagement while achieving business goals. This position is responsible for maintaining net terms of contractor invoices, as well as ensuring accurate review and approval of invoices performed by Work Management employees.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing all pre-work, scheduling, dispatching and closing of work activities performed by the Work Management team in compliance with company policies, procedures and practices consistent with DOT and various state regulatory requirements and safety practices.
  • Partners with local Operations team to plan work and be proactive identifying areas for process improvement or work efficiency gains to benefit the entire business unit. This includes the implementation of new systems and efforts towards alignment across entire business unit.
  • Manage/support the safe and timely response to all emergency orders and ensure proper procedures are developed and maintained to appropriately identify and respond to emergency situations in their region. Supports outage response coordination for the service territory on a rotational, on-call basis.
  • Monitor progress and evaluate the effectiveness and performance of the Work Management team and provide help, support and coaching as necessary.

Basic/Required Qualifications

  • High School/GED AND five (5) years minimum required related work experience

  • Associates or Technical degree
  • Knowledge of Operations processes
  • Experience in work management and related applications
  • Demonstrates leadership in work place safety
  • Ability to embrace and lead change
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to influence and motivate others to increase level of achievement and commitment between work groups
  • Evaluates performance accurately, fairly and consistently within a diverse workgroup
  • Previous training in Human Performance Improvement
  • Previous experience in Root Cause Analysis or problem solving
  • Maintains working knowledge of policies and procedures
  • Actively committed to continuous learning and improvement opportunities

Working Conditions

  • The selected candidate can sit anywhere in South Central, Florida where there is a vacancy. Exact location will be determined at time of offer. 
  • Onsite Mobility Classification – Work will be performed at a company facility
  • Frequent and prolonged periods of time on the phone and in meetings.
  • 35% Travel with some overnight stay
  • Urgent, Fast Paced Environment
