Supervisor, Revenue & Royalty Accounting

Position Summary:

The Supervisor, Revenue & Royalty Accounting with WaterBridge Infrastructure will be responsible for all pipeline revenue for its Saltwater Disposal Operations in the Arkoma, Eagle Ford and Delaware Basins. This position will report to the Director, Revenue & Royalty Accounting and be responsible for creating pipeline invoices, monthly JIB process, and providing exceptional customer service. The Supervisor, Revenue & Royalty Accounting must have the ability to read and understand contracts to ensure billings and royalties are prepared accordingly. They must also be able to lead and manage other employees. Clear and efficient communication with customers, royalty owners and internal stakeholders is imperative to succeeding in this role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ability to thoroughly understand customer contract specifications regarding rates, minimum volume commitments, and other nuances
  • Build monthly pipeline billing files based on customer contracts and associated monthly disposal volumes
  • Build monthly JIB billing files based on landowner agreement and associated monthly disposal volumes
  • Capable of overseeing pipeline invoice creation for multiple operating entities
  • Detailed tracking of distribution of invoices to customers based on customer invoice submission requirements
  • Work directly with internal stakeholders to quickly resolve customer disputes
  • Ability to book monthly revenue and royalty accruals and/or other journal entries related to revenue and royalty activity
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts to sub-ledger accounts
  • Meet monthly deadlines related to the internal accounting close calendar and timing of customer invoice submission per contracts
  • Lead and manage other employees in the department with aim of meeting monthly deadlines
  • Identify areas for process improvements
  • Assist with any special projects or assignments as required to clean up and ensure data integrity

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Accounting experience required
  • BA or BS degree preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly proficient in Excel
  • Resolve problems in a timely manner
  • Gather and analyze information skillfully
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt to new assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced, highly demanding environment
  • Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated 
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work with multiple internal stakeholders
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry preferred.
