Seeking a safety‑driven leader with strong working knowledge of OSHA requirements and a demonstrated ability to build and sustain a Safety First culture across distribution and warehouse environments.
Effective communicator who can collaborate across multiple sites, align stakeholders, and deliver consistent safety messaging and training.
Requires leading a maintenance team to ensure facilities, equipment, and capital projects are managed with safety, compliance, and risk reduction as top priorities.
Candidate must be capable of establishing and tracking clear KPI metrics, implementing standardized programs such as forklift certification and Emergency Action Plans, and ensuring consistent incident reporting and corrective action follow‑through.
Requires the ability to manage vendor compliance, support work‑related injury processes, and prioritize safety‑driven investments while maintaining operational continuity.
Key Responsibilities / Essential Job Tasks:
Lead and supervise the Maintenance Team to ensure all preventive and reactive maintenance is performed safely, compliantly, and in alignment with OSHA, corporate safety standards, and loss‑prevention objectives.
Ensure preventive maintenance programs are executed on schedule to reduce safety risks, equipment failures, and unplanned downtime, while prioritizing reactive maintenance to promptly address safety‑critical hazards.
Plan, schedule, and coordinate facility maintenance activities, repairs, and capital equipment upgrades to support safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operations.
Partner with Group Safety and internal stakeholders to ensure consistent safety incident reporting, tracking, analysis, and corrective action implementation across all sites.
Develop, deliver, and coordinate required KPI metrics and safety training programs, including monthly OSHA‑related topics, annual compliance training, and ongoing employee development initiatives.
Establish, implement, and maintain standardized forklift training, certification, and license renewal tracking programs to ensure compliance across all locations.
Ensure Emergency Action Plans are clearly documented, communicated, and reinforced through required annual training at each site.
Collaborate with external contractors and service providers to ensure all vendor work complies with site safety requirements, regulatory standards, and corporate policies.
Support employees with work‑related injuries by ensuring proper OSHA reporting, documentation, and coordination of safe return‑to‑work processes.
Manage facility and safety‑related purchase orders, inspections, and documentation, ensuring budget adherence, regulatory compliance, and prioritization of safety‑driven investments.
Travel 25%, occasional off-shift/weekend work required.
What We Are Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 4+ years of progressively complex experience
Additional professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
Proven ability to analyze and solve complex problems,
Must have comprehensive knowledge of typical distribution/warehouse operations system and equipment used and operated in these environments.
Willingness to investigate topics, apply knowledge and learnings to formulate consistent safety programs for the network..
Must have a thorough knowledge of practices and methods for developing and administering a comprehensive EH&S program, including designing employee EHS training programs.
Must be proficient in performing EHS assessments to identify workplace hazards and determining appropriate control measures.
Must have a broad knowledge of the methods and practices for conducting accident and workplace safety audits and investigations required.
