Manufacturing Supervisor – Mammalian Night Shift

With AGC Biologics’ continued growth, we are establishing a new Supervisor role to strengthen daily operational leadership across both Mammalian Manufacturing.
The Manufacturing Team
The Manufacturing Department is responsible for executing GMP operations across multiple production lines supplying drug substance for pre-clinical, clinical, and commercial manufacturing. We collaborate closely with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Process Support functions to ensure reliable operations and continuous improvement.
As Supervisor, you serve as the first-line leader for a team of 6–12 technicians/operators, depending on department and production processes. You work side-by-side with your team to maintain safety, documentation accuracy, operational flow, and strong team engagement.
The Position – Night Shift
Your physical presence on the shop floor secures real-time decision-making, problem-solving, coaching, and stable execution of production activities.
This role covers:
Mammalian Manufacturing (Upstream/Downstream)
Key Responsibilities
You will:
• Lead daily operations on the shop floor and ensure safe, compliant execution
• Guide technicians/operators in real time and support troubleshooting when needed
• Ensure documentation accuracy and drive strong GMP behavior
• Monitor process performance and maintain production flow throughout the shift
• Secure effective handovers between shifts and maintain alignment across 24/7 operations
• Support training, process confirmations and continuous improvement work
Your Qualifications
You likely bring:
• A technical or academic background within biotechnology, bioprocessing or engineering
• Experience from GMP manufacturing
• Leadership exposure formal or informal
• A proactive mindset and the ability to stay calm and structured during busy periods
• Strong communication skills and a natural ability to motivate others
• Familiarity with Lean or structured problem solving is a plus
