As the NC Region Compression Supervisor, you will lead the North Central Region Compression Team by managing and implementing the Region strategic operating philosophy around Compression. You will also manage the Region Compression capital budgets and provide direct technical and administrative support to the Manager of Technical Operations.

Salary:

  • Ranges from $114,800 – $183,700 USD for US locations based upon candidate’s experience, skills, and internal equity. ​
  • Applicable compensation policies and guidelines apply to internal candidates.​

Here’s what you will do:

  • Provide direct technical and administrative support to the Manager of Technical Operations.
  • Manage Region Compressor Staff – Supervise overall group performance and supporting Employee career development.
  • Supervise group to support Area and Station personnel to resolve problems with units in a timely manner.
  • Provide technical support to field operations
  • Coordinate preparation of Capital and O&M project budgets for station assets – includes project recommendations/ proposals, evaluations, justifying (technical and financial).
  • Provide technical support for investigations.
  • Communication conduit between employees and other departments.
  • Track reliability events and make technical recommendations.
  • Oversight of DOT/SOP compliance.
  • Provide support ensuring the coordination of emergency related activities such as planning, outages, material stocking, repairs, investigations and financial recovery related to Compression facilities.
  • Direct technical support of non-routine field operations for Compression related issues.

Who you are:

You have:

  • Bachelor’s degree and seven-plus years’ experience OR nine‐plus years of previous field operations experience.
  • Solid written and verbal communication
  • Strong analytical skills to quickly analyze complex situations, determine key issues and messages
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including consultation, risk communication and conflict resolution

You are:

  • Computer Competent

Preferred assets:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.

Working Conditions:

  • Periodic overnight travel in the range of 30%
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions include extreme heat/cold

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
