Pratt & Whitney is seeking a successful candidate for a Second Shift Supervisor/MRP Controller role within the Product Delivery Center in Middletown CT.

The Supervisor, MRP Controller - 2nd Shift  will operate in multiple shop floor control and Material Requirement Planning (MRP) related systems to ensure alignment between material position and production schedule while managing a team of hourly employees.

What You Will Do:

  • Coordinate material kitting in support of assembly floor need, working closely with the on-campus Forward Stocking Location (FSL) and remote warehouses.

  • Support shortage management process and oversee materials/logistics issues while coordinating with Engine and Module Assembly to ensure parts are available when needed.

  • Participate in making allocation/priority decisions on critical hardware.

  • Utilize/operate Andon system in support of assembly floor requirements.

  • Providing direction to skilled PDC bargaining unit employees while leading sustained improvements in safety, quality, production, material procurement, and cost reduction through the system’s various elements.

  • Perform daily supervisor responsibilities, project management, effective communication, and execution with support group members including management of hourly employee attendance and approval of timecards.

  • Establish work schedules considering customer requirements, resource availability and other priorities.

  • Provide leadership and direction with an emphasis on team building through daily toolbox meetings, effective communications, and in developing an efficient team that is responsive to production requirements and changes.

  • This role will work closely with operations, supply chain, engineering, and quality to ensure assembly and test requirements are fully supported.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, process improvement or similar environment OR a Master's Degree and minimum 3 years’ experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, process improvement or similar environment

  • In absence of a degree, 9 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, process improvement or similar environment

  • Demonstrated proficiency in leadership skills, communication, problem solving, analytical, prioritization and multi-tasking skills.

  • Knowledge of logistics, operations, inventory management, and/or supply chain

  • Proven ability to motivate teams to obtain high levels of performance to accomplish goals

  • Experience supporting process improvement and Lean manufacturing initiatives.

  • Proficient with Microsoft office: Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience with Enterprise Planning Resource (ERP) and/or Material Requirements Planning (MRP) software. SAP highly preferred

  • Continuous Improvement problem solving background.

  • Degree in Business/Supply Chain/Engineering or related field

  • Project management and operations experience

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
