Saab, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to report to the Director of Manufacturing and lead a team of Assembly Technicians. The successful candidate will work closely with the Manufacturing Program Managers, Production Control, Manufacturing Engineers, Test Technicians, Quality Assurance, and Stockroom personnel to ensure the execution and delivery of a quality product within cost and schedule targets.
Responsibilities include:
Assign assembly work to the team using MES and ERP systems.
Supervise daily production activities and ensure efficient operations.
Conduct daily production meetings and clearly communicate production goals.
Provide training, coaching, and guidance to improve team performance.
Hold employees accountable to established work processes and work rules.
Monitor work quality to consistently deliver exceptional results.
Demonstrate understanding of company policies, including Safety and FOD prevention.
Maintain a clean and organized manufacturing environment.
Communicate effectively with management, team members, and supporting departments.
Implement continuous improvement action plans.
Complete administrative activities, including time reporting, attendance tracking, and vacation planning.
Recruit and staff team members for assigned operational areas.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
May require limited travel, up to 10% annually.
Compensation Range: $80,900 - $101,100
The compensation range provided is a general guideline. Required Qualifications:
5+ years of relevant manufacturing experience.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Quality Control, Business, or related field preferred, with 3–5 years of manufacturing supervisory experience.
Experience using MES and ERP systems.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Desired Qualifications:
Experience in an AS9100 or ISO-certified environment.
Team-oriented, solution-driven leader with experience coaching or mentoring staff.
Physical Requirements:
Availability to work a flexible schedule as needed to meet customer timelines, including occasional overtime.
Lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights on a routine basis.
Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
Reach (including overhead), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat, and kneel.
Ability to operate or oversee hand tools and assembly equipment.
