Meet the team:

We are the IT Desktop Support team at Dexcom Malaysia, responsible for ensuring seamless technology experiences across office and manufacturing environments. Our mission is to enable productivity, minimize downtime, and deliver reliable, secure endpoint services while supporting business growth and manufacturing excellence. The Desktop Support Supervisor plays a key leadership role by overseeing day-to-day support operations, guiding Desktop Support Specialists, and ensuring service excellence aligned with global IT standards.

Where you come in:

  • You will supervise and support a team of Desktop Support Specialists, ensuring consistent service delivery, performance management, and professional development.
  • You serve as the second‑level escalation point for complex desktop, hardware, software, and end‑user issues that require advanced troubleshooting or cross‑team coordination.
  • You oversee daily operational activities including incident handling, service requests, asset management, and on-site support for office and manufacturing users.
  • You ensure adherence to SLAs, SOPs, and IT service management processes, driving continuous improvement in support quality and response times.
  • You coordinate endpoint lifecycle activities including device provisioning, imaging, deployment, refresh, repair, and decommissioning.
  • You partner closely with Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, OT, and Manufacturing IT teams to ensure alignment with global standards, policies, and site‑specific requirements.
  • You monitor and report on support metrics, trends, and recurring issues, providing insights and recommendations to management.
  • You support Windows 10/11 environments, standard applications, peripherals, collaboration tools, and manufacturing endpoint devices.
  • You ensure proper documentation, knowledge base updates, and standard work instructions are maintained and followed by the team.
  • You assist in onboarding, training, and mentoring new Desktop Support team members.
  • You support local IT initiatives, audits, projects, and site activities as required to meet business and operational needs.
  • You take ownership of IT inventory, including accountability for accuracy, lifecycle management, and compliance.

What makes you successful:

  • You have experience in desktop support or end-user computing, with prior experience in a lead or senior support role.
  • You have hands-on experience supporting Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and common enterprise applications.
  • You have troubleshooting skills across hardware, OS, applications, printers, and peripherals.
  • You have experience using ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools for reporting, trend analysis, and operational dashboards
  • You have experience supporting users in manufacturing, regulated, or enterprise environments.
  • You have experience participating in site initiatives, audits, or IT projects.
  • You have ability to coach, guide, and motivate a technical support team.
  • You can be proactive in identifying risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities in support operations.
  • You are data driven decision maker who uses metrics and insights to guide operational and people decisions.
  • You have familiarity with Power BI or basic reporting tools for tracking KPIs and support performance are nice to have.
  • You have familiarity with ITIL, service management processes, and large-scale IT transformations are nice to have
  • You are adaptable and flexible, with the ability to take on additional responsibilities and duties assigned.
  • You can provide support during non‑standard or off‑hours as required to meet operational and business demands.

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience
