Supervisor CHPP Maintenance

Clermont Open Cut is currently seeking an experienced CHPP Maintenance Supervisor to join our dynamic and successful CHPP Team onsite. Clermont Open Cut is a high performing truck & shovel operation that produces 12 million tonnes of coal per annum. Clermont Open Cut Operation is a safe, dynamic, and inclusive workplace focused on delivering high performance outcomes. Reporting to the CHPP Maintenance Superintendent, this multifaceted role will offer variety and opportunity for the right individual.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the timely completion of quality planned work on the Train Load Out system, Wash plant and CHPP Over land conveyor bypass stream 

  • Providing strong, innovative leadership to ensure the CHPP Maintenance team meets Department targets

  • Working safely and effectively as part of a dynamic team by utilising resources to optimise equipment availability

  • Maintaining a safe workplace and providing visible leadership and direction to your team

  • Managing planned and unscheduled work of the CHPP assets to ensure contingency is in place to enable mine production targets to be met

  • Managing employee and contractors as per the requirements of the Business Solution and ensure all works are completed safely while considering environmental impacts

Requirements of the role include:

  • Trade qualified with 5+ years industry experience, preferably in a similar Supervisory role

  • S123 & G2 competencies

  • Proficiency in CMMS (SAP) and frontline leadership training

  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive relationships, with a passion for team growth and development

  • Ability to work autonomously and manage conflicting priorities

  • Ability to develop strong relationships with various internal and external stakeholders

  • Proactive attitude to safety, a strong work ethic, and leadership capabilities

  • QLD Drivers Licence

This role requires a safety conscious candidate prepared to challenge the norm, drive continuous improvement and who can demonstrate experience in implementing best practise using a hands-on approach.
