Summer 2026 Cyber Security Associate Internship

How You’ll Make this Internship Opportunity Your Own 

Our Cyber Security summer intern will work on a customer program with a range of projects that ideally align with their interests. The intern will work alongside cyber professionals using cutting edge tools and techniques to defend and secure some of the US government's most vital networks. The ideal intern will have knowledge of cyber security and IT networking and the latest tools and techniques to secure enterprise networks.  

The Must-Haves 

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in cyber security from a United States-based college or university.  
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Excel, and Teams) 
• Ability to pass CompTIA Security + certification
• Ability to obtain a DoD SECRET clearance
• US Citizen

What You’ll Need to Deliver Your Best Every Day 

• Problem solving and interest in cyber security

• Knowledge of the latest cyber security tools and techniques
• Experience working in a collaborative team environment. 

• Intuitiveness with an ability to identify and solve complex problems related to rapidly changing technology.  
• Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions.

GDIT interns are paid and full-time (40 hours/week) for 10 consecutive weeks. Applicants should have a minimum of one semester remaining in their studies after their internship concludes. Take the first step and apply today!

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $22.26 - $28.75. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
