We are looking for a motivated and hands‑on summer student/worker to support practical electronics and laboratory work, including soldering, measurements, and testing of battery‑related hardware within Husqvarna Group.

Who we are:

The Battery Competence Center (BCC) is part of Husqvarna Group and focuses on battery‑powered products. BCC is responsible for the development, testing, and verification of battery systems and related electronics.

The BCC hardware team works closely with product development to ensure safe and robust battery solutions, including the design of Battery Management Systems (BMS) that address safety‑critical aspects of battery operation.

You will work in a hands‑on laboratory environment together with experienced engineers, gaining practical experience in electronics and battery development within a collaborative team.

What you will do:

you will support the team with hands‑on laboratory tasks, including:

  • Wiring and assembly of test fixtures, and manual soldering of electronic components
  • Electrical measurements and basic testing using multimeters
  • Supporting battery and electronics testing activities in the hardware lab
  • Assisting engineers with practical lab work and documentation
  • You will work on‑site with BCC hardware team in the lab.

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for a motivated and hands‑on summer student/worker with an interest in electronics and laboratory work.

Required qualifications:

  • Ongoing or related studies in electronics, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a similar field
  • Basic knowledge of lithium‑ion battery safety and awareness of associated risks
  • Basic understanding of electronics
  • Strong hands‑on skills and ability to work on‑site in a laboratory environment, manual soldering and basic electrical measurements using multimeters
  • Good communication skills in English

Personal skills:

  • Careful and detail‑oriented, especially when working with lithium‑ion batteries
  • Strong safety awareness and a high sense of responsibility
  • Collaborative, able to work well with engineers in a team
  • Creative with good problem‑solving ability
