03 April 2026This is a summer job opportunity as a Test Engineer at Husqvarna Group's Cutting Equipment & Accessories Lab.
Cutting Equipment & Accessories Lab is one of several R&D departments at Husqvarna Forest & Garden Division and is responsible for testing and verification of e.g. saw chains & guide bars, Automower blades, trimmer lines etc. Testing is done inhouse using specialized equipment as well as in field tests together with the actual product (chainsaw, Automower etc.). The team is based in Huskvarna and constituted of 11 engineers, technicians and Ph.D.’s with different competencies, backgrounds and genders.
As a Test Engineer, your responsibilities will primarily be conducting field tests of Automower blades, measuring product characteristics, and documenting the results. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing test methodology and evaluating mechanical properties and performance using laboratory equipment. The job requires driving to different field test locations, collecting and replacing test objects, and evaluating them.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a technical education background and with a strong interest in achieving results. We offer hands-on experience in testing and verification of products, as well as an opportunity to work both independently and together with others in a dynamic team environment.
This position requires that you are at least 18 years old, have a driver’s license and are available to work for at least 4-8 weeks during the summer months of June-August.
