Essential Responsibilities 

  • Develop and maintain embedded firmware for microcontroller-based systems in various areas including communication protocols (USB, UART, interdevice communication), real-time operating systems (RTOS), device drivers for hardware peripherals, bootloader functionality, authentication and cybersecurity features, and device configuration;

  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including code development, peer reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and technical documentation for embedded systems;

  • Support formal verification processes including test case development, verification protocol execution, and documentation of verification results to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards;

  • Follow and contribute to improving established embedded software development practices for building robust, resource-efficient, and maintainable firmware that meets real-time constraints and memory limitations; 

  • Collaborate in continuous improvement initiatives for development tools, testing frameworks, build systems, and team processes to enhance code quality, development efficiency, and product reliability. 


Basic Qualifications

  • 3rd year or higher in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or other relevant studies; 

  • Experience with C/C++ programming for embedded systems and basic understanding of microcontroller architectures, memory management, and resource-constrained environments; 

  • Understanding of embedded systems, hardware peripherals, and RTOS concepts; 

  • Self-motivated team player with problem-solving skills. 

Desirable skills 

  • Experience with version control systems like Git, code review tools, and the practice of continuous integration for embedded software development; 

  • Familiarity with communication protocols such as USB (CDC/HID), UART, SPI, I2C, or experience with protocol analyzers and debugging tools like logic analyzers or Wireshark; 

  • Experience with embedded development tools such as CMake, IAR Embedded Workbench, GCC ARM toolchain, or debugging tools like GDB, JTAG/SWD debuggers; 

  • Knowledge of Python scripting for test automation, build scripts, or automated testing frameworks like Robot Framework.
