Please note: This posting is for a 4-month Student Summer 2026 placement with a start date of May 2026 and end-date of August 2026. 
 
In order to be eligible for this 4-month Student position, you must either:

  • Be returning back to school after the work term end-date of August 2026; or

  • If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating in April/August 2026), but you require the work term as a mandatory component to in order to graduate successfully.

What is the opportunity?

Join Royal Bank of Canada’s Commercial Banking team for a dynamic summer opportunity! You will work in a fast paced, collaborative team who supports and enables over 3000 Commercial Banking advisors.

Join RBC’s Commercial Banking team as a Summer Intern in Business Enablement, where you’ll play a key role in supporting transformational initiatives designed to elevate client experience, advisor readiness, and the adoption of innovative technologies. As we strive to become the bank of choice for all businesses in Canada, this internship offers hands-on experience in driving strategic priorities forward, including best-in-class advice, value, and access for clients.

What will you do?

  • Assist in the development and execution of change enablement and communication plans to support Commercial Banking’s transformational priorities. 

  • Support Advisor enablement with the evolution of our Client Relationship Management (CRM) platform

  • Contribute to the training and adoption of existing and new AI tools and technologies. 

  • Help embed and sustain initiatives that drive client experience, retention, and value. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with Commercial Banking’s strategic goals. 

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program

  • Strong written/oral communication skills to develop and present thoughtful and insightful explanations

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. 

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. 

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Strategic Thinking; ability to problem solve complex problems and take ownership to finding solutions.

  • Ability to collaborate with cross functional teams.

  • Attention to detail and time management is critical

  • Proficiency in data analysis

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.

Nice-to-have

  • Previous exposure to financial services industry

  • Business Acumen

  • Data analysis and programming language skills
