Please note: This posting is for a 4-month Student Summer 2026 placement with a start date of May 2026 and end-date of August 2026. 
 
In order to be eligible for this 4-month Student position, you must either:

  • Be returning back to school after the work term end-date of August 2026; or
  • If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating in April/August 2026), but you require the work term as a mandatory component to in order to graduate successfully.

What is the opportunity?

The Business Analyst Summer Student will work closely with the Corporate Client Group (CCG) National Strategic Planning and Operations team to support the business with the management of data, reporting, process improvement, operations and transformation initiatives. The CCG team manages Corporate and Large Commercial clients, with the National Operations team supporting the group to execute long-term and short-term plans.  CCG National Operations supports planning, directing, and overseeing their strategic initiatives, goals and operational policies. Strong problem solving, time management, teamwork and attention to details will help ensure success in this role.

What will you do?

  • Support CCG teams in driving market share growth through a variety of strategic initiatives
  • Preparation of reporting materials to facilitate monthly/quarterly business reviews
  • Support the implementation of robust database and reporting systems for the CCG team and senior management
  • Fulfill ad-hoc and periodic data requests based on business requirements
  • Analyze data for useful insights and build meaningful dashboards & data visualizations
  • Automate reporting processes to help the team save resources
  • Perform data mining, cleanup and investigate discrepancies to enhance data quality
  • Support database administration activities and troubleshoot user inquiries
  • Document and diagram key system and data management processes

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • 3rd or 4th year student with a minimum of one Co-op/work placement of relatable experience
  • Undergraduate degree in Management Information Systems, Commerce, Business Administration, Computer Science or Engineering
  • Intermediate level of MS Office with a strong focus on Excel & VBAand familiarity with Access
  • Ability to perform well under pressure, meet time sensitive deadlines, and prioritize work
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Team player and also able to work independently
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proven capabilities in effective management of tasks and delivering high quality work
