Greencape Capital is a specialist Australian equities fund manager based in Melbourne. Greencape takes its name from Australia’s oldest concrete lighthouse, located at the tip of Green Cape, a headland in South Eastern Australia. We have a dedicated and experienced team of investment professionals whose aim is to deliver superior, repeatable performance.
We are seeking highly motivated student to join our team and apply advanced technology skills in a real-world investment management and equity research environment.
This is a casual position with flexible days and hours; while requirements may vary, the current expectation is an ongoing commitment of approximately 6–8 hours per week, with the opportunity for additional hours depending on workload and tasks.
About You
This opportunity is ideal for students who combine strong technical capability with a genuine interest in financial markets, particularly those aiming to build experience over a longer-term placement.
You are likely to be:
A Commerce / Computer Science or Commerce / Engineering student
Ideally Year 1–3 of a likely 5‑year degree, or later years if pursuing Masters
Studying a finance-focused stream within Commerce
Technical & Professional Interests
Strong interest in applying AI and agentic AI within investment management and equity research
Practical, hands-on experience with:
Claude, Claude Cowork, MCP / connectors, or writing Claude skills
Python or other programming languages
Claude code experience is a bonus
Has experimented with or currently runs agentic tools within a Mac ecosystem (e.g. OpenClaw setups)
Interested in deploying these skills in a live commercial environment, working with industry-leading investment software
