Length of term: 4 months (Summer 2026)

The Role:

This role will provide planning, strategic support to senior executives within Digital Business & Technology Solutions and to our various internal partners throughout the organization. Particular focus for this role will be in the area of reporting, outcomes measurement, and communications.

What will you do?

The Junior Strategy Analyst’s main accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

Executive reporting:

  • Assist in the development and management of various executive reports such as a monthly operational report to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), and semi-annual overview reports 

  • Manage and maintain various reporting tools and platforms, including our team’s central SharePoint, Excel workbooks for tracking dates and stakeholder tasks, and annual reporting performance surveys 

Internal strategy and development:

  • Apply strategic frameworks and problem-solving techniques to defined business problems under the guidance of senior team members 

  • Support key strategic initiatives within Sun Life's digital transformation programs by providing administrative and logistical support for workshops and meetings 

  • Conduct primary and secondary research to monitor trends and help inform our strategies 

What do you need to succeed?

  • This opportunity is available to students with a August 2026 or later graduation date

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary or equivalent degree with a focus (i.e. major) on one of the following:

    • Business Management, with supporting education or experience in digital technology

    • Humanities or Communications, with supporting education or experience in both business management and digital technology.

    • Engineering or Technology, with supporting education or experience in business management.

  • Excellent MS PowerPoint skills, including an understanding of presentation process (storyboard to finished product and speaker notes).

  • Excellent MS Excel skills in the context of financial management, including the corresponding ability to visualize, interpret and report results.

  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral. Writing skills include an ability to translate technical content into laymen terms consumable by senior executive readers.

Not necessary, but considered an asset:

  • Experience with executive/senior management communications, e.g., workshops, reporting to executives, or communications to a broad external audience.

  • Experience or demonstrated familiarity with agile delivery methodologies.

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted for. The Base Pay which you will be considered for will vary depending on the Campus program you are selected for.

Eligible Sun Life employees for various Campus Graduate programs will also participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance
