Hybrid/Remote: This co-op opportunity is voluntarily in person, remote or hybrid. If you decide remote or hybrid, you will be required to work within the province. Remote work outside of the province will not be a possibility.
Reporting to the Team Leader - CRE Technology Specialist, the Analytics & Technology Systems – Co-op will assist with the data maintenance and software support of CRE technology within Corporate Real Estate (CRE) and be an active participant in the success of Sun Life’s business plans and goals. The CRE team is responsible for the design, build and operation of Sun Life offices.
What will you do?
Implement, maintain and up-keep of AutoCAD drawings and existing IWMS tool and related databases to align with change in the physical workspace in accordance with industry and SL standards, including layering convention, annotation, area poly-lining and labelling, CAD revisions for changes to furniture layout reflecting floor plan reconfigurations and architectural changes to base building due to new construction, space, area, and attribute data changes, occupancy information updates based on HR, move, and project information and sourcing and resolving data inconsistencies.
Complete new poly-lining for area measurements based on the BOMA Standard Method for Measuring Floor Area in Office Buildings.
Perform AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel work to prepare build files for transfer from CAFM to Sun Life’s workstation booking system
Preparation of PDF plans and AutoCAD files to support client requests.
Completes client requests of IWMS tool group membership, space management, data correction, and troubleshooting.
Collaborate with cross functional teams, participates in team ideation, prioritization, activity alignment sessions.
Assists in developing and deploying manuals, help documents and operating procedures to drive quality and consistency.
Assists in technology systems testing.
Create custom excel reports for clients utilizing existing reports and databases
What do you need to succeed?
In-depth knowledge of AutoCAD and Word
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Working knowledge of MS Excel and MS PowerPoint with willingness to learn new tools
Ability to manage and track projects to meet milestones and schedules
Some travel within the GTA and Waterloo may be required
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Ability to handle multiple demands & effectively manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing business requirements, and demonstrate solid process development skills
Aptitude and willingness to learn
Ability to work in a team and independently with some supervision

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted for. The Base Pay which you will be considered for will vary depending on the Campus program you are selected for.
