Goodman Group Ambassador

Goodman Group (GG) is part of the Goodman School of Business at Brock University. GG offers Executive Development programs for the Brock, Niagara and broader community, providing them with direct access to a full range of learning and development services offered by the faculty, industry leaders, staff and students. GG focuses on building capacity through partnerships, serving the 21st century learner by providing unique educational experiences, real-world learning and hands-on learning opportunities.

The GG Ambassador will be a critical member of the Goodman Group team and is responsible for assisting with the GG database by monitoring and maintaining it. The Ambassador will work both independently and as a team player to accommodate requested changes, make updates, modifications and recommendations to the database structure and processes.  The Ambassador will ensure database security, integrity, stability and system availability.    The goal of this position is to provide a seamless flow of information throughout the Goodman Group team considering backend data structure, frontend accessibility for end users and data reporting needs.

Reporting to the Manager, Professional and Executive Development, the Ambassador will provide support to GG in data entry and creating database training materials for the onboarding of new team members and other duties that may arise for program delivery.

The Ambassador will interact with all GG team members both, in person and remotely.

Part-time position (approx. 15 hours per week) available from the first week of April until December 2026 (with the possibility of extension).

Job Qualifications

  • Solid knowledge of Access Database (creating tables, relationships, queries, forms, reports, setting access levels)
  • Knowledge of SQL and background in computer programming is an asset
  • Data analysis: Experience handling client’s request and making informed recommendations
  • Detail-oriented and being able to follow instructions
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication as well as presentation skills
  • Ability to meet numerous deadlines and work well under pressure
  • Team player and able to work independently
  • Basic project management skills considered an asset
  • Proven initiative, time management, and organizational skills
  • Creative, resourceful, detail-oriented and self-motivated
  • Experience with Google Analytics, SEO, considered an asset
  • Reliable, self-driven and motivated by achieving goals, both individually and as part of a team, with a commitment to excellence in execution
  • Must be a current Brock student throughout the duration of the contract

Hourly rate: $17.60 (per hour).
