What you will do 

We are seeking a Structuring Associate to join our Product Development Team. Our team manages the product development lifecycle and plays a critical role in creating, structuring, and delivering innovative investment strategies (public and private) to global investors across all channels (including retail, institutional, insurance, US, and Non-US).

This role will be at the forefront of structuring, oversight, and rating agency engagement for rated feeders and other structured products, including collateralized fund obligations and multi-asset class initiatives. The position will have the opportunity to shape the future of PGIM’s structured products offered to our private credit investors as well as work alongside industry

Prior hands-on experience from an investment bank, rating agency or private credit manager is preferred, specifically with respect to structuring private credit vehicles, and possessing a strong understanding of the direct lending and broader private credit landscape.

What you can expect 

  • Lead the structuring, launch, and monitoring of rated feeder vehicles and other innovative structured products, such as collateralized fund obligations and multi-asset class solutions.

  • Manage and maintain relationships with rating agencies, structuring advisors, counsel, and/or investors ensuring timely and accurate engagement throughout product lifecycle.

  • Provide oversight of product structuring processes, from initial design through execution and ongoing management.

  • Support due diligence, documentation, and marketing efforts related to structured product launches.

  • Collaborate closely across PGIM’s cross-functional teams (investment teams, portfolio management, legal, compliance, operations, and distribution) to ensure seamless delivery and execution.

  • Monitor market trends and regulatory developments in private/public credit and structured products to inform product strategy and design.

  • Maintain technical expertise and understanding of regulatory, legal and tax frameworks, proactively considering the implications on new and existing products and responses to changing requirements.

  • Help serve as a subject matter expert on structured products for internal and external stakeholders, advising on best practices and innovation.

What you will bring 

  • 3–5 years of relevant experience; preferably in investment banking with a focus on structuring advisory for private credit managers or related experience in asset management.

  • Strong understanding of the private and public credit markets and vehicle structures.

  • Proven experience with rated feeders, collateralized fund obligations, and/or multi-asset class structured products.

  • Capacity to handle multiple projects simultaneously; strong execution and follow-through skills in a fast-paced environment.

  • Self-starter with excellent analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Team-player with the ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally within a dynamic team environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.

  • Proficient in full Microsoft suite and financial modeling

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The annual base salary range for this role is from $110,000 to $130,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. This role is also eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits including a competitive, discretionary annual cash bonus opportunity. Eligibility to participate in the discretionary annual incentive programs are subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
