London Full Time

(12 months FTC - Jan 2026 start with ad hoc onboarding days in Dec 2025)

About ustwo

We are an award winning digital product studio with 120 people in 5 different studios across the globe (London, Malmö, New York, Lisbon and Tokyo). For two decades we have been helping our clients grow by creating breakthrough experiences that have a positive impact on the world.

Our work spans the entire product lifecycle - from shaping a bold vision and validating propositions, to designing and building products and services that have lasting impact.

Human insight is at the heart of everything we do. Our collaborative culture, inclusive approach and commitment to craft have earned ustwo a reputation for creating digital experiences that people love and that help businesses thrive.

The role

As Strategy Lead at ustwo, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping how strategy drives impact - both within client work and across the studio.

You’ll lead the strategic direction on projects, partnering with design, product, and technology teams to uncover opportunities, define propositions, and shape experiences from insight to launch. Your work will help create products and services that drive engagement, influence behaviour and make a genuine difference in people’s lives.

You’ll also contribute to ustwo’s broader growth - playing a key role in new business efforts alongside the leadership and business development teams.

Location

This role will be based in the London studio in Shoreditch at 154-158 Shoreditch High Street  E1 6HU. We currently have a hybrid policy in which you are required to be in the studio for two days of the week; our universal day on Tuesdays and either Wednesday or Thursday and are welcome to either work from the studio or from home for the rest of the week. We are keen for you to be involved in studio culture so the more you can get involved in opportunities for in-person social interaction; the better! Occasionally pitches will need to be on-site with the client but you will be informed of this as and when it crops up.

About you

You’re someone who can hold the big picture while navigating the details. You inspire confidence through clear storytelling, pragmatic recommendations and collaborative energy. You bring clarity to complexity - equally comfortable shaping a long-term vision or guiding teams and clients through the day-to-day. Above all, you’re motivated by helping teams and clients create digital products and services that truly matter.

As Strategy Lead, you’ll bring clarity, energy and direction to complex challenges - helping teams and clients make confident decisions that create real value for people and businesses.

You will:

  • Define the strategic vision for projects and communicate a clear, compelling narrative that connects user needs, business goals and market opportunities.
  • Identify growth opportunities and advise on business design, commercial models and organisational implications.
Shape and validate propositions through a mix of qualitative and quantitative research - using the right methods for the context.
  • Translate insight into action, guiding teams to make decisions at pace while balancing ambition, feasibility and impact.
  • Partner closely with senior client stakeholders to distil objectives, define success metrics, and steer projects to meaningful outcomes.
  • Spot risks early and work with teams to find pragmatic ways forward.
  • Lead and facilitate workshops that inspire collaboration, align direction and co-create solutions.
Collaborate with product designers, technologists and delivery leads to turn strategic thinking into tangible products and services.
Shape go-to-market and growth strategies - from early validation through to launch and scale.
  • Contribute to new business efforts through proposals, pitches and strategic storytelling that demonstrate ustwo’s value.

You’ll thrive in this role if you:

  • Have deep experience in digital product or experience strategy - ideally in a digital agency or consultancy environment.
  • Have shaped strategies and experiences that drive engagement and meaningful behaviour change.
  • Balance analytical rigour with creativity and empathy for users.
  • Are an excellent communicator and storyteller, able to influence senior stakeholders with clarity and conviction.
  • Can lead multidisciplinary teams at pace - with confidence, empathy and structure.
  • Are comfortable working in ambiguity, making sense of complexity and guiding others through it.
  • Have the curiosity to challenge assumptions and the optimism to find better ways forward.
  • Embody ustwo’s values: Be Human, Learn Together, Use the Freedom, Raise the Bar and Enjoy the Journey.

The salary for this full-time role is circa £80,000. The actual salary amount will depend on the candidate's experience, skillset, market knowledge, and the salaries of current employees in similar roles. We benchmark our salaries regularly against competitive market data, so these ranges are subject to change.

Interested but think your experience doesn’t perfectly align with this job description? That’s ok. Research shows underrepresented groups in particular are less inclined to apply for jobs where they don’t meet 100% of the requirements listed. We’d still love to hear from you if you feel passionate about this role! We are committed to creating an inclusive environment for our colleagues, clients, community, and the users of our products. We don’t have all the answers but we’re on a journey, and we are learning together.
