Strategy Advancement Advisor – Medicare Retention Strategy

Retention is a critical component of Humana’s overall Medicare growth strategy and an enterprise wide priority. The Strategy Advancement Advisor is a key contributor within Humana’s Consumer Strategy organization, supporting the development, execution, and evolution of strategies that drive retention while contributing to broader enterprise priorities.

This role blends strategy support, data-driven analysis, and cross-functional execution. While the primary focus is on retention initiatives, the role also supports adjacent enterprise and consumer strategy efforts where retention intersects with experience, Stars, growth, and transformation priorities.

Humana is seeking an experienced professional with strategy, healthcare, or consulting experience who can work independently, navigate ambiguity, and effectively advise leaders across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage analysis and discrete workstreams supporting enterprise retention initiatives and adjacent Consumer Strategy priorities
  • Analyze Medicare retention performance using internal and external data to identify insights, risks, and opportunities
  • Collaborate with teams across product, marketing, sales, service, analytics, clinical, and operations to translate strategy into action
  • Develop and present clear, compelling materials and insights for leadership, governance forums, and cross‑functional partners
  • Support the evaluation and advancement of pilots, initiatives, or business cases that improve retention and related enterprise outcomes

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience leading or owning analysis and workstreams within complex, cross-functional initiatives

  • Experience using data and insights to solve business problems or inform strategy

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and move work forward independently

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including comfort presenting to senior leaders

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or other relevant graduate degree

  • Strategy consulting or corporate/business unit strategy experience

  • Healthcare experience, preferably in Medicare Advantage

Additional Information

This position may be hybrid in Boston, MA; Louisville, KY; Washington, DC; or Chicago, IL, or fully remote. Remote candidates should be comfortable working in Eastern Standard Time.

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$138,200 - $190,100 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
