Strategic Sourcing Specialist - Procurement

As a Strategic Sourcing Specialist - Procurement reporting to Director of Strategic Sourcing you'll play a critical role in managing vendor relationships, driving cost-effective procurement strategies, and ensuring Nasdaq gets the best value from global supplier arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead supplier selection processes using thorough evaluation criteria to identify optimal vendor partners.
  • Negotiate agreements to secure the best pricing, terms, and conditions across hardware, software, and services.
  • Implement and manage contracts to maximize organizational benefit and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Design and optimize supply chain logistics to achieve product availability, lead time, and cost targets.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operational, tactical, and strategic procurement processes to deliver purchasing excellence.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management.
  • Strong ability to negotiate contracts, influence stakeholders, and manage cross-functional supplier relationships.
  • Clear communicator with experience in collaborative, global environments.
  • Proficiency in tools or platforms such as Excel, procurement systems, contract management software, and ERP platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree or certification (e.g., CPSM, CIPS, MBA).
  • Experience in capital markets, fintech, or regulated industry.
  • Exposure to global teams and cultural nuances in cross-border collaboration.

This position will be located in St. John's and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office, subject to change, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.
