Job Description

OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE:

  • Support engagement across TBS leadership and extended leadership to ideate, develop, evolve, align, and manage the ideation, implementation and ongoing calibration of the short and long-term TBS strategy, ensuring that the TBS and Takeda strategic imperatives and targeted impacts are mapped to short and long-terms tactical initiatives
  • Act as a thought-leader in assessing, developing, and socializing innovative and leading industry practices, ensuring progress towards our Best-in-Class TBS objective
  • Drive active participation and engagement across TBS in the community-of-practice, driving throught leadership, establishing TBS performance benchmarks, and building and enhancing the TBS and Takeda external relevance and reputation
  • Build and leverage an extensive network across the industry, ensuring strong TBS awareness of latest trends, approachs, implications, understanding and assessing potential development areas for TBS and creating knowledge-sharing opportunities with peers
  • Support the further development of the TBS and Takeda shared services operating models
  • Develop and deploy the scoping, placement, and operations set-up approach for new activity areas to deliver optimal innovation, performance, and value
  • Partner with our IT colleagues to support the development of the overall TBS technology strategy (what applications should be applied for what purposes)
  • Support the Strategy and Program Delivery Solutions Lead to establish the TBS Strategy team ways-of-working, methodologies, approaches, stakeholder management and relationship building, in addition to facilitating the strategic agenda-setting, objectives, and scope of the teams’ activities
  • Support the identification of business solution demand and requirements and the dentification of growth and innovation opportunities for TBS, engaging with the business and across the TBS organization to drive and improve the TBS value proposition
  • Support the coordination of activities to drive strategic and tactical outcomes to drive further value at the Enterprise, TBS Leadership Team, Extended Leadership Team level in activity areas such as governance, model design, and implementation planning
  • Facilitating LT and ELT meetings, participating and contributing to overall TBS strategic and financial planning, and driving special projects as and when they may be assigne

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Act as a thought leader and advocate of strategic thinking – ensuring TBS access to and awareness of industry trends, peer lessons learned, technical applications, critically assessing relevance and potential application to the TBS context
  • Planning, aligning, and orchestrating benchmarking exercises, and continuously ensuring gap-close towards the TBS best-in-class aspiration
  • Support the development, alignment, documentation, deployment and management of the short and long-term TBS strategy, including roadmap development and management
  • Support the development of the TBS business engagement approach, partnering, and execution for new scope identification, placement, and pipeline management
  • Support the establishment of all elements of the TBS strategy and implementation including dependent elements such as operations, program delivery, and process improvement teams
  • Support effective internal and external communication and stakeholder management relating to the TBS short and long-term strategy, priorities, impact, and strategic roadmap
  • Support the development, calibration, and management of the global TBS strategic roadmap, working across the TBS LT, ELT and broader business community to validate strategic and tactical outcomes, and maximise opportunities

  • A keen interest in, and deep thought-leadersip knowledge of the captive business services industry and it’s evolution, including emerging trends, proven best practices, technology, people, and process applications, critical issues, and key industry insights
  • Able to develop, maintain, and leverage a broad network of industry associations, practice building groups, consultancies, and peers
  • Able to critically assess potential strategic and tactical solutions, projects, and approaches, applying deep understanding of cause-and-effect, resource requirements, practical application, stakeholder impact, and overall strategic and tactical alignment
  • Able to turn broad strategic insights and ideas into workable, impactful, practical approaches
  • Exceptionally strong stakeholder management and communication skills, able to engage effectively upwards and at a peer level to actively shape perspectives, productively challenge the status quo, and successfully alter trajectories – ensuring active buy-in, ownership, and mindset shift
  • Highly effective at prioritization, dealing with evolving requirements, strongly impact oriented
  • Able to think and apply insights to drive towards practical tactical outcomes, whilst ensuring gap-close on strategic objectives

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

  • Master’s Degree preferably in Finance, Business or related area
  • 5 years’ experience in a multinational environment with extensive exposure to senior management
  • Excellent understanding of the Global Business Services (GBS), GCM/GCC/captive services domain current state, evolution, trends, and challenges
  • Hands-on operations combined with deep process knowledge in at least one of the following process areas: Source-to-Pay, Invoice-to-Cash, Record-to-Report, Hire-to-Retire, additional areas advantageous
  • Good awareness of compliance frameworks
  • Previous experience acting in a thought leadership capacity
  • A proven track record of collaborating effectively across multiple organizational domains at senior levels, able to build bridges and drive shared-understanding and ownership in addition to credible outcomes at multiple levels within an organization
  • Able to consistently deliver to a high and exacting standard, and effectively navigate ambiguous, complex, and continuously evolving environments
