The SR Generalist will directly assist the Head of Strategic Recruitment, Singapore to execute targeted recruitment strategies to attract and hire quality Relationship Managers for our private banking division in Singapore. This role demands a deep understanding of the private banking landscape, strong networking capabilities, and expertise in identifying candidates with the financial acumen and client-centric approach required to manage high-net-worth portfolios. The Strategic Recruiter will collaborate closely with hiring managers and senior leadership to align talent acquisition with business goals, ensuring a steady pipeline of elite candidates.

KEY FEATURES OF THE POSITION
Talent Sourcing and Pipeline Development
- Proactively direct source and engage top Private Banking Relationship Managers using platforms like LinkedIn, industry networks, and own referrals.
- Build and maintain a robust talent pipeline for current and future hiring needs, focusing on candidates with expertise in private banking, wealth management, or related fields.
- Conduct market mapping to identify talent pools and monitor competitor hiring trends in Singapore market.
Recruitment Strategy and Execution
- Partner with hiring managers and the Head of Strategic Recruiting, Singapore, to define role requirements, including technical skills, client relationship expertise, and cultural fit for Private Banking RMs.
- Develop and implement tailored recruitment strategies to attract candidates and proven success in managing high-net-worth client portfolios.
- Manage the full recruitment cycle, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, assessments, and offer negotiations, ensuring alignment with Singapore’s hiring standards.
Candidate Experience and Engagement
- Provide an exceptional candidate experience through clear communication, timely feedback, and a professional, inclusive hiring process.
- Conduct thorough interviews to evaluate candidates’ financial expertise, client management skills, and alignment with company values.
Stakeholder Management (internal & external)
- From time to time, internal stakeholder interaction will be required. This will include regular meetings with Hiring Managers, internal Human Resources teams and senior management for reporting and discussion
Regulatory Responsibilities &/OR Risk Management
- Demonstration of appropriate values and behaviours including but not limited to standards on honesty and integrity, due care and diligence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, adequate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Other Key Responsibilities
- Depending on suitability and rapport with the line, the SR Generalist may be assigned particular functional lines or markets to take full responsibility for hiring. This would include managing various recruitment channels (i.e. search firms, internal referrals and direct sourcing), managing the candidate experience, interviewing and advising line managers on the hires.
- Maintain, update and ready for presentation pipeline and recruitment reports as directed.
- Collate, summarise and ready for presentation Interviewer notes as directed.
- Coordinate meetings with third parties representing candidates to the Bank as necessary.
- Any other support / administration as deemed necessary by the Head of Strategic Recruitment, Singapore to ensure the Bank’s strategic recruitment targets are met efficiently and effectively.
- Provide information (when instructed) on role descriptions to candidates or search partners via email.
- Assist to initiate background checks of shortlisted candidates with HR Services.
- Conduct market intelligence research, including but not limited to salary surveys, market moves and industry announcements.
- Keep updated on basic employment law and regulatory changes as needed.
YOUR PROFILE
- 7+ years of recruitment experience, with at least 3-4 years focused on hiring for private banking, wealth management, or financial services roles in Singapore or the APAC region.
- Proven success in recruiting Relationship Managers or similar client-facing roles in the financial sector.
- Strong knowledge of private banking, wealth management, and the competencies required for Relationship Managers (e.g., portfolio management, client relationship building, financial advisory).
- Exceptional networking and relationship-building skills, with experience engaging senior-level professionals and passive candidates in Singapore’s competitive market.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and build trust with candidates.
- Established network of contacts within Singapore’s private banking or wealth management industry.
