Assume the role of convener, coordinator, and responsible party to provide oversight and direction to all planning, strategy, and business development activities in the market. Work collaboratively with management to develop short- and long-term strategic and operational plans, develop targets, and monitor progress. Provide decision support services for business development and strategic planning issues through research and data analysis in the market. Present market research results to senior leadership as well as other key stakeholders. Collaborate with the corporate planning team to bring standardized approaches to market intelligence, assessment, and evaluation of responses to each evolving market within the context of the overall enterprise goals. Work directly with the Strategic Intelligence team to interpret key data related to actual and projected business, markets, and competitors. Translate data into actionable plans to support the growth and expansion of services and products. Understand each market or business unit, the nuances within the market, and, in coordination with leadership, develop and execute plans to address strategic goals focused on competitive positioning, growth, profitability, and diversification. Related to strategic priorities, create project plans that tell the story of why an investment is needed, with intended audiences of market and system senior management, physicians, etc. In cooperation with service line leaders, identify growth opportunities and produce business plans and marketing strategies for individual service lines. Facilitate the execution of evaluation processes to assess and report on the progress of the strategic plan. Maintain continuous analysis of competitive landscape and industry trends. Engage leaders to understand, synthesize, and translate key information into meaningful insights to support the establishment of strategic priorities. Facilitate setting medium- and long-term priorities and alignment of resources, planning, and evaluation processes with those priorities. Manage a regular cycle of strategic plan checkpoints and ensure on-going alignment with corporate and division strategies. Coordinate with staff and stakeholders to enhance transparency and communication of other functional priorities, goals, and objectives. Support the development of long-term strategic communication plans and materials, including proactive messaging and rapid response for internal and external audiences. Conduct triennial community healthcare needs research in conjunction with area agencies. Utilize industry-standard techniques and analysis to determine community-based health needs, identify priorities of the communities served, and create solutions to drive improvements in community health. Assist in the development and execution of a system-wide strategy to plan, implement, oversee, measure, report, and publicize community benefit contributions to multiple audiences including key local, state, and federal stakeholders. Contribute to the development of strategies and programs to achieve positive and productive community relationships with the goal of measurably improving the health status of the communities Sanford Health serves. Maintain professional relationships with community leaders, grant organizations, and government officials at state, local, and regional levels while serving as the content expert in areas of community benefit. Remain current on health care trends and impacts related to community needs.Qualifications
