JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Change Manager role is integral to the Strategic Consulting team, supporting the full consulting lifecycle—from business development to strategy formulation and execution. This role directly supports client transformation initiatives by aligning workplace strategy with organizational goals. The individual will work under the guidance of leaders with subject matter expertise in workplace strategy and change management in the Strategic Consulting practice, including contributing to thought leadership and client deliverables.  They will proactively build and maintain relationships with clients and prospects, generate new business opportunities, and contribute to the delivery of high-impact solutions. They will support the development of strategic recommendations that align workplace environments with organizational goals, employee needs, and evolving work models. Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, along with direct industry experience, are essential. This role offers exposure to high-profile clients and opportunities for professional growth and advancement within the Strategic Consulting team.

LOCATION

This position follows a hybrid work model, combining remote and on-site work as needed. The preferred location is Chicago, IL.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead mid-size projects and support, as part of a team, large-scale workplace strategy and change management consulting engagements across the Americas.
  • Lead and participate in client presentations and client meetings as part of business development and client projects.
  • Collaborate with team leaders to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables for RFPs and other client requests.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with clients and prospects to generate new business opportunities.
  • Participate in business development and marketing efforts, including interviews and proposal writing.
  • Establish clear project expectations with leadership and clients, aligning quality, budget and organizational objectives while ensuring deliverables reflect the organization’s culture and tone.
  • Deliver project plans that meet client needs within established schedules and budgets.
  • Lead and participate in the development of client deliverables, including presentations, reports, and visual storytelling.
  • Participate in team brainstorming sessions and support production of final client deliverables and strategic recommendations.
  • Perform detailed quantitative and qualitative analysis to address client challenges and synthesize findings.
  • Mentor junior consultants and contribute to team capability development.
  • Develop and improve tools that support project delivery effectiveness.
  • Conduct client research, reconnaissance, and industry benchmarking, and synthesize findings.
  • Document client sessions and internal meetings, including action items and next steps.
  • Stay current on workplace trends and contribute to internal knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • 8 -10 years experience in a similar or complementary role, including key project experience in workplace/real estate strategy decision-making.
  • High emotional intelligence, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong written, oral, analytical, and graphic presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to analyze and compile data and produce strategy documents and error-free client reports.
  • Self-starter with exceptional time management and organizational skills; able to balance multiple priorities and projects.
  • Professional and positive engagement with clients, partners, and prospects.
  • Confident in evaluating and experimenting with new tools and technologies (e.g. SharePoint, Copilot, Power BI, Miro, Mentimeter).
  • Proficient in MSFT Applications, Teams, Adobe PDF Writer, Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and InDesign a plus.
  • Ability to work on-site as required; additional on-site time and travel may be required.
  • Comfortable working across time zones, business lines, and offices.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time to client sites.

EDUCATION

  • Professional degree in Real Estate, Business, Architecture, Interior Design, Environmental Design, Communications, English, Psychology or related field.
  • Change management certification or designation desired; Prosci Certification a plus.
  • Additional experience and interests in organizational change management, design, marketing, research and/or organizational development will be considered favorably in the selection process.

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.


The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.


The compensation for the position is: $ 110,500.00 - $130,000.00
