Job Description:

Position Summary

The Storeroom Manager is responsible for overseeing all storeroom operations to ensure accurate inventory control, efficient material flow, and reliable support of plant maintenance and production activities. This role manages daily storeroom functions, inventory systems, vendor relationships, cost control initiatives, and supervises storeroom personnel to ensure operational excellence and audit compliance.

Key Responsibilities - Monday - Friday,

Storeroom Operations & Inventory Management

  • Service facility storeroom requests in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Document all part checkouts in accordance with Storeroom Sign-Out procedures.
  • Perform receiving activities including opening shipments and verifying contents, checking packing slips against purchase orders, noting and resolving discrepancies and unloading trucks as required
  • Stock and organize inventory including new items, returns, and receipts.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and clearly labeled inventory locations.
  • Manage and process part returns to the storeroom.
  • Maintain free-issue inventory items.
  • Manage all inventory transactions within the storeroom system.
  • Prepare materials in advance for maintenance equipment line shutdowns.
  • Provide basic storeroom security and controlled access.
  • Maintain proper document retention for audit compliance.

Shipping & Logistics

  • Manage outgoing shipments including vendor returns, repairable spares, shipment tracking and documentation

Inventory Accuracy & Controls

  • Prepare and audit cycle counts.
  • Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate on-hand balances and reporting integrity.

Systems & Financial Management

  • Utilize EAM system create and maintain part numbers, issue parts to work orders, maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) with a clear understanding of material cost flow (inbound/outbound)
  • Utilize Coupa maintain RNI/INR balances for month-end closing, coordinate with Finance to resolve invoice and purchase order discrepancies
  • Track and initiate cost savings opportunities.
  • Support plant financial accuracy through disciplined inventory management.

Vendor & Procurement Management

  • Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships.
  • Apply best-practice purchasing procedures.
  • Monitor pricing, lead times, and service performance.
  • Identify opportunities for supplier optimization and cost reduction.

Leadership & Supervision

  • Supervise storeroom clerk(s).
  • Conduct performance reviews.
  • Provide training and ensure adherence to storeroom procedures.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, organization, and continuous improvement.

Additional Duties

  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support plant operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems.
  • Proficiency in Coupa purchasing system.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control principles.
  • Knowledge of maintenance storeroom operations.
  • Ability to analyze costs and identify savings opportunities.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Effective communication and vendor management abilities.
  • Basic leadership and supervisory experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift and move materials as required.

Compensation Range:

The pay range for this position is $59,900.00 - $102,100.00. Typically, a competitive wage for new hires will fall between $92,000.00 to $95,000.00. Offers for this position may vary based on market data and other factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. The position may also be eligible for a short-term incentive.
