General Position Summary:
The ECI Store Manager is responsible for managing and training the staff and day to day operations inside the assigned ECI concession; in addition to being a Sales Associate for a designated Concession.
The purpose is to ensure daily support to the Sales Associates, to ensure the performance of the assigned ECI Concession, and to be a liaison with the ECI Concession Coordinator. The ECI Store Manager ensures that the assigned Concession meet the sales target by managing the day to day activities of the store, to ensure its efficient, profitable and customer-oriented operation. Includes managing some personnel matters such as time and attendance management and training. The ECI Store Manager also monitors the store operating budget and report back on sales budget versus actual, KPIs, products, training, scheduling, etc. on a regular basis. The ECI Store Manager is also responsible for consistency in processes, procedures, and customer service.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
- Manage Columbia Sales Associates for assigned ECI Concessions, including onboarding, training, goal setting, leave tracking, and performance management, in coordination with the ECI Concessions Coordinator and HR department.
- Participate in the hiring process with the ECI Coordinator to ensure staffing aligns with business needs.
- Coordinate all staff schedules in collaboration with ECI HR and Coordinator, ensuring compliance with local labor rules, public holidays, and center-specific regulations. Scheduling should reflect sales performance and seasonal peaks.
- Support and lead staff development through training, motivation, and ongoing coaching. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Act as the main liaison between Columbia and ECI stakeholders, including HR and Operations, to ensure smooth communication and alignment.
- Manage store product needs when required, especially during key commercial pushes, additional replenishments, or reinforcements. Maintain direct coordination with the Retail Operations team, including the Concession Coordinator and Retail Operations Manager, to ensure timely and effective product support
- Oversee daily store operations, review performance reports and attendance, and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Conduct weekly sales analysis for assigned stores, share results, and propose action plans to improve performance.
- Prepare and support stores during key sales periods and coordinate the implementation of new processes, policies, or procedures.
- Encourage team participation in engagement initiatives and support internal activities that promote team cohesion.
- Daily contact with ECI Management Team
- Perform any other relevant tasks in coordination with the ECI Operations Manager.
Specific Job Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (Spanish & English) to engage with customers, team members, and ECI personnel.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate store staff to achieve sales and service goals.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with El Corte Inglés floor staff, ensuring smooth operations and strong brand presence within the concession.
- Proactive in problem-solving and escalation to the ECI Coordinator when needed.
- Organized and responsive: timely handling of calls, emails, and operational requests.
- Proficient in POS systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Operates effectively within company and ECI guidelines, meeting deadlines and process standards.
Education and/or Experience:
- At least 5 years of retail experience, ECI experience is a plus
- Previous team management experience is a plus
