Summary of Purpose/Major Responsibilities

Position Overview

The FFIP Staging Logistics Technician is responsible for managing inventory to support filling, inspection, and packaging manufacturing operations. As inventory items are delivered from the central warehouse, the Technician is responsible for the physical put-away of materials as well as the corresponding ERP transactions. This role also encompasses the placement of not-inspected, inspected filled containers, and finished goods pallets in the respective building's cold room, along with all related ERP transactions and cGMP-compliant logbook documentation. This role also must follow all procedures, work instructions, and always be audit ready.

The Technician must obtain and maintain proper certifications to operate powered material handling equipment and utilize manual pallet jack equipment as needed. Additional responsibilities include executing the physical disposal of approved material disposal orders, supporting departmental administrative functions, and coordinating manufacturing area trash removal. This position interacts with filling, inspection, and packaging managers, staff and leadership, outside transportation services, waste management technicians, and outbound and warehouse logistics technicians. The technician must have great communication skills, be self-driven, and reliable.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Receiving and Maintaining Inventory (20%)

  • Receive production-related materials from the central raw material warehouse upon delivery.

  • Compare items to the order placed, if applicable, and put away in the appropriate physical storage location using automated or manual material handling equipment.

  • Perform the corresponding ERP transaction upon receipt and put-away.

  • Maintain the physical inventory location in a neat and orderly fashion at all times.

  • Perform periodic checks of physical inventory against iShift inventory to ensure accuracy.

2. WIP and Finished Goods (FG) Handling (25%)

  • Responsible for the physical movement of pallets using appropriate material handling equipment for the following:

  • Not-inspected filled container pallets

  • Inspected filled container pallets

  • SUFI pallets

  • Finished goods pallets

  • Complete the cold storage logbook and Topp Clip form in accordance with cGMP documentation practices as pallets are moved from one facility to another.

  • Ensure SAP transactions are performed in near real time as inventory moves between locations.

3. Cold Room/Freezer Inventory Management (25%)

  • Ensure the cold room or freezer is maintained in an orderly and neat fashion at all times.

  • Ensure pallets on racking systems are placed correctly, stored safely in the correct storage conditions, and segregated as required.

  • Perform SAP inventory transactions as needed when pallets are moved within the cold room/freezer and other areas.

  • Ensure SAP inventory accurately reflects the physical inventory at all times.

4. Warm Room Inventory Management & Experimental Use (15%)

  • Ensure that items in the MDO process or designated for experimental use are properly stored.

  • Execute moves from the cold room to the warm room as directed, in a timely manner.

  • Perform appropriate ERP inventory transactions as pallets are moved between areas.

  • Ensure SAP inventory reflects the physical inventory.

  • Complete the cold storage and warm room logbook in accordance with cGMP documentation practices as pallets are moved between rooms.

5. Material Disposal (5%)

  • Ensure proper processing of approved material disposal orders into the appropriate disposal containers and route to the waste dock within the building.

  • Communicate to the Sr. Logistics Technician upon completion of the physical disposal so that the material disposal order can be properly closed out in the system.

6. Compliance (5%)

  • Complete and maintain all required certifications and licensure to operate powered material handling equipment associated with job performance duties.

  • Complete all assigned training modules, procedures, instructions, safety requirements, and compliance requirements as controlled by the company system.

7. All Other Duties Assigned (5%)

About You

Requirements:

Education:

  • High School Degree or Equivalent

  • Forklift Certification (required within one year of start date)

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in warehousing/logistics

  • Knowledge of 24V battery charging stations

  • Manual material handling equipment experience (preferred)

  • Powered material handling equipment experience (preferred)

  • ERP system inventory management knowledge (preferred)

  • Chart recorders experience (preferred)

The salary range for this position is:

$20.32 - $27.09
